Lying in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, Satpura National Park is another home for tigers in central India and forms a major landscape with Pachmari and Bori Wildlife sanctuaries. Fairly less popular than Kanha and Bandhavgarh, it is a unique central Indian highland ecosystem which consists of extremely rugged hills and sandstone peaks, narrow gorges, ravines and dense forests. Wildlife species many mammals like tigers, leopard, sambar, gaur, chital, Indian muntjac, nilgai, four-horned antelope, Chinkara, wild boar, bear, black buck, fox, porcupine, flying squirrel, mouse deer and Indian giant squirrel and many birds like Malabar whistling Thrush, Paradise Fly-catcher, Honey Buzzard, Malabar pied Hornbill. there is currently no zonation inside the national park, however the movement of gypsies is restricted to particular areas and dry summer months are the best time to spot amazing wildlife.

Best Time To Visit Satpura National Park

Satpura National Park remains open for tourists from 15th October to 30th June. Because of monsoon, Satpura National park remains closed for the remaining months.

Most of the tourists visit Satpura National park between October to Feb as the weather cool and the heat doesn’t sting anybody. From Oct to Feb, Satpura National park is a true abode of migratory birds. Oct to Feb is also the perfect time to explore Satpura National park on foot as well as avail the speed boat.

April to June are very hot but this is the best time for wildlife spotting & photography.

Home of Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle book, Pench National Park extends over two states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. It is one of the most beautiful national parks in India and one of the most productive as it holds the highest density of spotted deer in India. Landscape include tall Sal trees mixed with grasslands and Pench river flows in between the park dividing it into two regions. Major wildlife attraction includes tigers, wolves, leopards, wild dogs, gaurs, and many species of deers. Pench is also home to a wide variety of birds. Nagpur is the nearest town to Pench and the best times for safaris are between November to May. Safari is curated in gypsies in different zones. On the Madhya Pradesh side -Turia, Karmajhiri, Jamtara Zone, Wolf Sanctuary, Teliyaand Rukhad zones are present while Khhursapur and Sillari zones are present towards the Maharashtra side. Best Time To Visit Pench National Park

Pench National Park remains open for tourists from 15th October to 30th June. Pench National park remains closed for the remaining months.

If you like to see lush green forest with cool & pleasant weather then October to March is the best time for you to visit Pench National park. Mostly tourists visit Pench National park between October to March because of this reason. December to March is the best time for bird watching. Large number of migratory birds visit Pench National Park during these months.

From April to June the heat is unbearable and most of the vegetation at Pench gets dried but sighting of wild animals is easier in these months than compare to winters. Wild animals often easily seen around various man made waterholes.

Located in the chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, Khajuraho Group of Monuments consists of Hindu and Jain temples and area among the UNESCO’s World Heritage sites in the India. The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures. Built between 950-1050 AD, Khajuraho currently has 25 temples spread across 6 sq km. The location is accessible via train and road with highways connecting to the state capital of Bhopal. It is interesting to see that all temple except faces sunrise and layout of temples integrate masculine and feminine deities and symbols highlight the interdependence. Almost all Hindu temple in Khajuraho follow grid geometrical design called vastu-purusha-mandala in their architecture which consists of three important components – Mandala means circle, Purusha is universal essence at the core of Hindu tradition, while Vastu means the dwelling structure. The temples divided into three groups, The Eastern, Western and Southern, The Archaeological survey of India maintain guided tours at the site.
