      FAQ's

Ideally, it is advisable to book a Tiger Safari tour to India at least 5-6 months in advance due to two primary reasons.
Firstly, safari permits for most national parks in India are allocated 120 days prior to the intended safari date, and
during the peak season, they tend to sell out within seconds. Secondly, the availability of excellent jungle lodges is
limited, and they are quickly booked out as soon as the season commences. In fact, it is not uncommon for these
lodges to be reserved up to 1 year in advance.

We offer the flexibility to customize our tours according to your preferences. While we do have pre-designed tour
packages available, we are more than happy to tailor the tours to meet your specific requirements and preferences.
Please let us know your preferences, and we will work with you to create a customised tour experience.

In India, the Big 5 consist of the tiger, elephant, lion, rhinoceros, and Leopard. Typically, a single national park allows visitors to spot approximately three of these magnificent creatures. However, to witness all five species in their natural habitat, one would need to embark on safaris across multiple parks. You can read through the detailed itinerary of India Big 5 Tour here.

The temperature in the jungles of India undergoes fluctuations during the course of a day. In the scorching summer months of April and May, it can soar to a peak of 45 degrees Celsius, only to descend to a pleasant 25 degrees Celsius in the evening. As winter sets in from December to February, the mornings witness a chilly dip, ranging from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius, while the days offer a more agreeable climate, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.

We do arrange various wildlife tours to cater to different interests. Our offerings include specialized tours tailored to specific interests such as species-specific photography tours, birding tours, wildlife and cultural tours, and many more.

The total amount is divided into three installments for your convenience. To secure your booking, an initial payment of 25% of the total amount is required upon confirmation. The operating hours of Tiger Safaris in India are determined by the timings of sunrise and sunset, which vary across different months. During the summer months, the morning safari typically starts at 5.30 am and lasts for approximately 4-5 hours. The afternoon safari usually begins around 3:30 pm and lasts for approximately 3 hours. In the winter months, the safari schedule shifts slightly. The morning safari generally commences at around 6:30 am, lasting for 4-5 hours. The afternoon safari starts at approximately 2:00 pm and lasts for about 3 hours.

Generally, an open-roof vehicle is used for safaris in National Parks in India. However, there is an option to cover the roof in case of heavy rain.

We highly recommend that you bring all your personal medications with you and avoid relying on local pharmacies for assistance. The nearest medical help may be located an hour or more away, and even then, it might only be available for basic illnesses. If you require more advanced medical care, you may have to travel for 4-5 hours to reach good hospitals from the national parks.

You are welcome to bring any camera equipment inside. However, it’s important to note that prior permissions are necessary for documentary/cine cameras, and their rates are considerably high. Please be aware that the use of drones is strictly prohibited in and around National Parks and Residential areas.

Certainly, we offer a wide range of city tours that encompass cultural, historical, and modern aspects.

While there are 7 other countries where Tigers roam freely, India stands out with a remarkable population of 3167 tigers, accounting for about 75% of the world’s tigers population. These majestic creatures can be found in 50 tiger reserves across India. The significant number of tigers in India significantly enhances the probability of sighting them during a Tiger Safari Tour. Among the 50 reserves, you can expect excellent chances of encountering tigers in at least 15 of them.

The likelihood of spotting a tiger during a single tiger safari is uncertain, often described as a 50-50 chance. However, it’s important to note that the number of sightings can vary. There have been instances where our guests have even encountered 2-3 tigers in a single tiger safari in India. Successful tiger safaris rely on a combination of proficient tiger tracking skills, patience, and a bit of luck.

We give a track of day-to-day sightings in different zones of national parks to our guests. We have a strong team available at various national parks, which helps us in better planning to create itineraries for our guests. Generally, we book four months in advance, so we have to foresee the probability of sightings in various parks and zones. This is only possible if we have a strong ground team and excellent knowledge about the subject.

The team is the core strength of The Indian Voyage, and our guests play a vital role in this strength by placing their
trust in us and choosing to travel with us. We firmly believe in the power of teamwork and uphold the adage that
remarkable achievements in a company are not accomplished by individuals alone but by a cohesive team working
      towards a shared vision.

Every National parks has got different cancellation policy. A tours cancellation policy depends on which National
parks are being covered in that itinerary. But from our end we understand that in case you are cancelling the tour,
