Best Time to Visit

Like other hill stations of Himachal. Tirthan valley has three major seasons and accordingly guest may choose.

April to  June(Summer Season)-Very Good Time

If the weather is clear then in these months Morning and Evening remain cold (between 10 to 20 degree celsius) while afternoon remain pleasant(between 15 to 25 degree ). But cloudy skies can make  temperature take a  dip  and you may need a jacket even in the afternoon.

July to September(Monsoon Time)-Good Time

During the rainy season one can enjoy the lush green beauty of the valley and mountains. Spectacular views of snow-clad  Himalayas also become clear. Which is rare  in summer time. Sangla has a lot of fruit orchards  and terrace farms so one can enjoy the fresh harvest along with a village walk.

October to March(Winter Season)-Good Time

In these months morning and evening become frigid  and on a sunny day afternoon remain cold further between December to February snowfall  may take place any time so it is advised to travel with a fleece jacket, Muffler.

How to Reach

By Air

Chandigarh Airport is the nearest airport which is well connected with other airports of India. From Chandigarh one can book a cab for Tirthan. Tirthan Valley is 250 kms from Chandigarh and it takes  6-8 hours to reach Tirthan Valley.

By Train

For Tirthan valley Chandigarh is the closest railway station which is well connected with Delhi and other cities of India. Chandigarh is 246 kms from Tirthan Valley.

By Coach

Aut is the nearest village  to Tirthan Valley, which is connected to Delhi  by coach. From  Aut Tirthan Valley is around 40 kms. Guest can come to Aut by coach and from Aut they can book cab for Tirthan Valley.
