If you are planning to pay Rajasthan a visit, do add Kumbhalgarh in your bucket list. Kumbhalgarh is a marvel that resides by the Aravali foot. This town is known for its lavish palaces, mesmerizing monuments, and beautiful temples.
One of the must-visit places for tourists is the Kumbhalgarh fort. It is Mewar fortification that is commonly called the World Heritage Site. Built between 15-19th century, it is the birthplace of Maharana Pratap. Another famous tourist spot is the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary. This place is famous for the 40-strong wolf pack that won’t be found anywhere else. Tourists can indulge in amazing activities here like trekking, jeep safari, and horseback safari (for the horse lovers).
The best time to visit Kumbhalgarh is between October and March as the weather gets comfortable and the heat doesn’t sting anybody.
Kumbhalgarh does not have an Airport or railway station of its own. It is easily accessible by road from most major cities of Rajasthan like Ajmer, Udaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar & Jaipur.
Udaipur, located at a distance of around 86 kms from Kumbhalgarh is the nearest Airport.
Falna, located at a distance of around 80 kms is the nearest railway station.
