Perched at an altitude of 1920 meters, Khajjiar is a favourite among tourists looking to unwind in the midst of the Himalayas.In summers its alpine meadows becomes a leisure ground for kids playing with Frisbee , on periphery you may see tourist taking horse riding and adrenaline seekers doing paragliding. In winters due to heavy snowfall sometimes this place becomes inaccessible.
Khajjiar is a hill station. At all hill stations in India day or night temperature depends on season as well as the weather conditions.
April to June(Summer Season)-Very Good Time
Normally in these months Morning and Evening remain cold (between 10 to 20 degree celsius) while afternoon becomes pleasant(between 15 to 25 degree ). If skies become cloudy then temperature may dip further and you may need a jacket even in the afternoon.
July to September(Monsoon Time)-Good Time
Rainy season brings the best of nature in the form of lush green mountains and valleys with a backdrop of spectacular snow-clad Himalayas.
October to March(Winter Season)-Good Time
In these months morning and evening become frigid and on a sunny day, afternoon remains cold further between December to February snowfall may take place so it is advised to travel with a fleece jacket, Muffler.

Gaggal is the nearest Airport which is around 122 kms from Khajjiar.
By Train
Pathankot is the nearest railway station which is well connected with other cities of India. Pathankot to Khajjiar is around 118 Kms.
By Coach
There is an overnight luxury coach (Volvo) facility from Delhi to Dalhousie. From Dalhousie one can book a cab to reach Khajjiar. Khajjiar is just 25 kms from Dalhousie
