Kollam (Formerly known as Quilon)  offers unmatched experience of houseboat cruise along the placid waters of Ashtamudi lake . Kerala’s second largest lake, Ashtamudi Lake is 16km long and is noted for its splendid waterscapes and wetlands. “Ashtamudi” means “eight branches”; the lake is a combination  of eight smaller bodies of water. Best Time to Visit Kollam:

Winter  (October – February) – Best Time:

In these months weather remains cool in morning and evening time and afternoon becomes pleasant. Cool breeze and pleasant  temperature adds more enjoyment to sightseeing and excursion trips.

Monsoon  (June – September) – Good Time:

In this period  coastal belt of Kerala receives abundance of rainfall so the lush green beauty of nature emerges. However sometimes your local sightseeing and excursions plans may hamper due to incessant  rainfall.

Summer  (March – May) – Not So Good Time:

In these months high temperatures (maximum of 35-37 degrees ) couples with high humidity levels so  long sightseeing trips are not recommended.

Kollam  is well connected by road to other metro cities of India. There is good frequency of buses till Kochi  from there  cab can be booked to reach to your resort.
